I am always amazed at just how awesome God is. Just when I think, I know how awesome He is. He does something new. Wow, what a God He is. I want to have a dental clinic in our Love of God Medical clinic in Yamaranguila, Intibucá, Honduras in Central America. I have many things for it. Now our second clinic is about to open and I have nothing for it.

I visited the Rotary Club’s medical supplies warehouse the other day and they are going to give us the equipment for a complete dental clinic.

Along with that, we are receiving EKG machines and other equipment that we want to have in our clinics. We are even getting some anesthesia machines for the local hospital in Honduras.

Do you have or know someone who has medical supplies or equipment they would like to donate? Let us know and we will get it to Honduras and put it to use.

Can you see in the dark?

When you are in the darkness you only see part of what is there. You do not fully understand your situation nor your surroundings. by when the light comes into the situation you find yourself aware of things you didn't know. Then you can start to make changes.

This morning I was getting around in the dark and could not see very clearly i was trying not to wake up my wife. but when I got into the light I realised I did not have my glasses and everything was blurry. I then know I needed my classes to focus. what to do.

We live in the darkness but when the light comes we realize we need help. Christ is that Helf. He is the light and his word brings everything into focus. And He is there all along.

If i am the hand you are the arm.

Missions
is an act of the body.

The body of Christ is reaching into the darkness to reveal the truth and light, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It takes the whole body to reach into the dark places. If we are the hand, we must have the arm to extend us into the mission field. We can do so much, teach, preach, and meet needs opening the doors to discipleship.

If it is not for the arm, the church we can not do anything. The Church is our life line. the missionaries need the church at home to pray for us.

Pray for favor in the locations we go, minister and live.

Pray for our safety. In the jungles there are which doctors casting evil curses and with your prayers we will be safe.

Pray for our provision and be willing when God asks you to be the answer of your own prayers. Many times when i pray I find that God is not just putting on my heart to pray for someone but to help them also. And when I do God blesses me more than how much i helped.

Pray for encouragement. it can be very isolating and discouraging to be in the field. Send emails, Facebook posts, cards, calls. This encouragement is really needed. It is needed to know that we are not disconnected from the Church, friends, and family.

Missions is a war, a spiritual war, and pray is our weapons. Use them often and help the missionaries fight darkness.

The call to go and make disciples is a simple one right?

At first glance the call looks simple. And it is if you are talking about the “goal”.
The goal is to be a disciples, introduce others to Christ and disciples those who will listen.

This is like the goal in football; get more points than your opponent. That is simple right?

To achieve this goal in football you have to study your team and your opponent. Find the right combinations of office and defense, make a plan and execute that plan. But wait before you even get to the field to execute that plan you have to prepare. And you have to have someone paying the bills or you will never get to the field.

You also have expenses while you are on the field. Someone has to pay for the ticket takers, the ticket makers, the trainers, the balls, the referees, the uniforms, the goal posts, the …. You get the picture. And during the game someone has to sustain the players, gatorade, bandages, bench warmers when it is cold, bench coolers when it is hot.

You have to have the equipment needed, the shoulder pads, the helmets, the field itself. You have to have energy bars and sometimes pain medicine. There are a lot of things you need to play the game. Someone has to pay for all of this. You spend a lot of time looking for funding so you can play the game. Sometimes this take most of your time.

The truth is that it take a lot to achieve the goal in missions. You have to train in language, culture sensitivity, bible knowledge and spiritual warfare. You must raise the funds to be equipped, travel, and sustain you on the field. You must build your team.

The team is more than those who go with you physically. The team is made up of:
  • the grandmother that prays for your every day
  • the pastors that cover you
  • the friends that encourage you
  • the supporters who fund you
  • the family that misses you but knows you need to go
  • the churches that send teams and come see you
  • the interns and staff that come along side of you
  • the board members that have your back
  • the volunteers that gather and ship what you need

The missionaries are everyone on the team because you cannot go if you do not have a team behind you. Your team is more important than you are. Because you cannot go without your team.

Thank you to all of you who are on our team some of your pictures are below.

The Beard

Boys start out sweet and innocent.

If we do not watch it and start shaving, the beard will take over. We can shave every once in a while and become sweet again; but before you know it the beard comes back. If we want to stay sweet, we must shave and shave often to keep the beard from showing itself.

Sin is like the beard. We start out sweet and innocent. When we are exposed to the world our sinful nature starts to come out. If we don't watch it and read the word and keep the sin from growing in our lives we will become accustomed to living with the "beard" a sinful life.

The word of God is as sharp as a two edged sword. It cuts off the bad "sin" of our live so that we can live healthy. If we "shave" by reading the world of God it will keep the sinful nature from taking over. If we keep our mind on the word and think of good things we will do good things.

How long has it been since you shaved?

From the Bottle to the Cross!

This world is so lost. They look for significance in every place searching for a reason to be alive and hiding from the thing they have done or not done.

They are men everywhere. Drinking their life away because they have shame for how they lived up to now. They drink every time they get sober enough to realize who they have been and who they have become.

Here in Honduras they drink a moon shine so pertinent most often they fall to the ground just a few steps from where they took their drink. With no hope and no one to help them; they lay there in the street or the gutter. Just to wake up and take another drink. Often times they are die of exposure.

They do not know that their Lord and savior is right by their side, waiting for them to turn to him. But, there is hope. Last September God put in my path a man from Honduras who lived in the US from the time he was 15 years old till last year.

He has 25 years’ experience working with addiction. Sof Alvarez, 42, is now working with us. He came to us as we were looking for a way to help these alcoholics. We are now making plans to start a regeneration program.

You can help these unfortunate men who turn to the bottle instead of to the Cross. Join us and be a part of this great outreach. Currently we are praying for land to build the center.

This center will be a part of the Victory Farms program.
You can Pray and you can Donate Now
